Making Peace with Impermanence – Weekend Retreat

English below / Français plus bas Making Peace with Impermanence A weekend of mindful presence, connection with nature, and deep reflection Everything changes. Seasons turn, bodies age, relationships evolve, and grief finds its way into our lives — until, one day, each of us faces our own mortality. Yet we often spend much of our lives resisting change rather than embracing it. This weekend is an invitation to slow down and gently explore our relationship with change, grief, aging, and death. Through guided meditation, silence, mindful forest walks, experiential practices, and group dialogue, we’ll create space to meet life’s realities with presence and humanity — discovering that vulnerability itself can become a place of transformation. The group is intentionally limited to 12 participants, fostering intimacy, trust, and depth so everyone can move at their own pace. No previous experience is necessary. 📍 Location: Auberge La Salamandre, Eastern Townships, Québec👥 Group size: Maximum 12 participants🧘 Facilitated by: Dr. Moire Stevenson, Clinical Psychologist, and Jean-Philippe Turgeon, end-of-life and grief companion This is an all-inclusive retreat with catering provided by Veganessa Transportation: Transportation is not provided by the retreat. Email us at contact@mindfulnessoutdoors.org Meet Your Guide: Jean-Philippe Turgeon Jean-Philippe’s path has been anything but conventional — from producing some of Quebec’s top comedians to co-founding alternative pain management clinics, guiding youth through marathon-length expeditions across the Atacama Desert, the Pindus Mountains, and California’s Lost Coast. These journeys shaped a deep connection to nature and human resilience, and a belief that real growth happens when we step outside our comfort zone. Today, Jean-Philippe is the founder of Hubblo, bringing immersive dome experiences to audiences seeking wonder and connection. For the past five years, he has also volunteered in palliative care and grief support, accompanying individuals and families through life’s most vulnerable moments — work informed by training in spiritual care, mindfulness, shamanic traditions, and humanistic hypnosis. At the heart of it all: helping people reconnect — with themselves, with nature, and with each other. Aujourd’hui, Jean-Philippe
