Introduction to Mindful Paddleboarding

Introduction to Mindful Paddleboarding: Find Your Flow on the Water Event Description: Introduction to Mindful Paddleboarding is a unique, low-stress experience designed to help you drop your shoulders, breathe in the fresh air, and connect with the water at your own rhythm. Whether you are stepping onto a board for the very first time or looking to bring a deeper sense of presence to your outdoor activities, you belong here. What to Expect:  Your registration covers your paddleboard rental and required safety equipment, but the real value of this workshop lies in the intentional, professional guidance and community connection you’ll receive. We break our time on the water into two meaningful parts: Part 1: Skill & Confidence Building This is not a rigid kayaking or technical racing lesson, but you will learn proper paddle anatomy and efficient stroke techniques. We will cover water safety and on-water navigation so you feel completely secure and in control of your board. Part 2: Nature & Community Connection Once you have your sea legs, we transition from mechanics to mindfulness. We will use the peaceful backdrop of Parc Jean-Drapeau to foster a deep connection to the natural world and build a supportive community with each other. This is a space built for you: YOU set the pace. There are no races, no expectations, and absolutely no pressure. If you want to sit, kneel, or float the entire time, that is exactly what you should do.  We’re proud to cultivate a safe and welcoming learning environment that is:  Safe & Supportive: We prioritize your physical safety and emotional comfort from start to finish. Non-Competitive: Success is measured entirely by your own sense of well-being, not how fast you move. Non-Judgmental: A warm space where mistakes are just part of the fun and everyone is learning together. Meet Your Guide: Molly Mosenthal You will be in incredibly capable hands. This workshop is designed and led by Molly Mosenthal, a clinical mental health counselor, outdoor educator, and professional outdoor guide. Molly’s deep personal connection with the natural world powers her commitment to inspiring others to find personal growth, stress relief, and healing through outdoor pursuits.
