Snowshoeing Day Retreat at Mount Orford

About the Day Retreat
Join us for a mindful snowshoeing retreat at Mount Orford, where we’ll explore the snowy forest trails and discover how being outdoors in winter can support both physical health and mental well-being.

During this day retreat, you’ll learn how to:

  • Practice mindfulness in nature through guided meditation and forest bathing.

  • Use snowshoeing as a metaphor for resilience, balance, and facing life’s challenges.

  • Embrace the moment with moving meditation, connecting breath, body, and rhythm.

  • Experience ecotherapy practices designed to reduce stress, increase focus, and deepen your connection with the natural world.

We will walk together along forest paths. If you prefer not to snowshoe, you are welcome to hike with us, keeping in mind that depending on snow conditions, some sections may be challenging without snowshoes.

A small lunch will be provided.

We will meet at the Le Cerisier service centre, where snowshoes can be rented if needed. Rentals are $19.00 for the day, available directly on-site (no advance reservation required). Please arrive early if you need to rent equipment so that you are ready to begin at 10:30am.

Please note that you are also responsible for your park entrance pass. The cost is $9.85 unless you hold an annual pass. As daily visitor numbers are limited, it is recommended to purchase your pass in advance (up to 30 days). However, please keep in mind that this event may be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of unsafe weather.
